Founders of KIF Radio, Siné “Sound Curator” Condé, Yannick “IMVNZI” Bicamumpaka have had colourful and humble beginnings before venturing into the music scene. Their passion stems from family influence and exposure as most talented artists do.
Sound Curator’s experience with music dates back to dancing with his sister, while his father recorded their talent shows on VHS recorders. He’s also tapped into his rap skills, recording and performing in his hometown, Annemasse (France), before getting the hang of DJing when he lately moved to Toronto in 2013.
IMVNZI (pronounced Imanzi) has been in love with music for as long as he can remember. After dabbling with dancing, he later pursued writing and recording his own songs. IMVNZI's musical journey has now led him to DJing. Coming from different cultural backgrounds yet being rooted into Hip-Hop allows him to have a distinct approach to music curation.
With different degrees under their belt, an Engineering Degree in Telecommunication and the other with a Double Major in Health Sciences & Psych, as well as Teachers College; these two have an immense amount of experience knowing time and patience truly pays off.
Sound Curator and IMVNZI decided music was necessary to their happiness; they decided to co-create a podcast that would highlight their skills in finding great Afrobeats and R&B music to move a crowd and please the soul. KIF Radio was born in 2019! After a year of finding their own respective grooves ready to dominate, the Pandemic hit and forced them to co-create virtually. Sound Curator and IMVNZI found a way to create a show that would still bring local and international up and coming artists in Afrobeats and R&B including breaking artists like Zenesoul, THEHONESTGUY, Loti, Shah Frank, Jeune Lio, Santino Le Saint ——- and more!
